Watch: 2WL London presented to national audience

2Wheels London was presented to delegates at the 2018 National Road Safety Conference last month.

Organised by Road Safety GB, the 2018 edition of the National Conference took place at The Grand in Brighton on 27-28 November – with around 330 road safety professionals attending across the two days.

2Wheels London was presented by Debbie Huckle, honorary secretary of the London Road Safety Council and vice chair of the 2Wheels London stakeholder group.

Debbie is also team leader for safety and travel planning at the London Borough of Brent and has 18 years of experience working in road safety – and a keen interest in motorcycle safety.

Debbie’s presentation formed part of the ‘speed dating’ session at National Conference – a series of quick fire presentations by road safety practitioners, outlining schemes and interventions they are implementing.

She outlined how 2Wheels London provides a coherent, strategic approach to assist partner local authorities, agencies and other stakeholders in their aim of reducing the number of serious injuries and fatalities throughout Greater London.

Debbie explained how the programme, which has been running for over a decade in partnership with leading London based employers, has been fully redeveloped over the last year and is now project managed by dedicated and highly experienced road safety professionals within the London Road Safety Council.
