Visitors to the 2018 London Motorcycle Show are being encouraged to visit the Transport for London (TfL) stand to find out more about a range of training courses designed to enhance rider skills.
Taking place between 16-18 February at Excel London, the annual show features the latest bikes, racing action, star riders, guest speakers and hundreds of exhibitors offering kit, accessories and motorcycling bargains.
TfL will use the show to promote its rider training schemes and take bookings for BikeSafe-London and 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills.
BikeSafe-London participants ride informally with expert police motorcyclists, who observe skills and give invaluable advice on how to make riding safer and more enjoyable. The course includes tips on everything from spotting hazards to cornering, filtering and group riding.
Funded by TfL and delivered by the Met Police, BikeSafe-London rider skills days are available across London, seven days a week.
TfL is also collaborating with London boroughs to offer free BikeSafe-London vouchers for those who live in participating boroughs.
1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills is a free skills session designed to improve urban riding. Participants ride the routes they use most frequently or find most challenging, choose the start and end locations, and take the session at a time and date to suit them.
