NEW TRAINING COURSES FROM TFL

TfL has created three new free training courses for motorcyclists in the Capital, designed to boost rider confidence, skills and knowledge before and after Compulsory Basic Training (CBT).

Preparing for your CBT
Are you about to take or renew your Compulsory Basic Training in order to ride a motorcycle? If so, this free, short online course will help you to feel more prepared and confident on the day, and includes essential information from the Highway Code.

Learn about road positioning, traffic signs and correct behaviour at junctions and roundabouts. Find out what a 'lifesaver' is and the importance of wearing proper protective clothing. The course can be completed on computer, tablet or mobile device.

Beyond CBT - Skills for Delivery Riders
Are you a motorcycle delivery rider? If so, sign up for this free course to improve your riding skills and help you to better navigate London's busy roads. You will learn about the Highway Code, motorcycle maintenance how to secure and ride with a variety of loads, and how to use a satnav system on the move. You'll also plan and ride a route through a busy urban environment, delivering to a number of locations.

1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills
Sign up for a free, one-to-one motorcycle skills session to develop your urban riding skills and become safer on London's roads. The sessions are entirely tailored to you. Ride the routes you use most frequently or find most challenging, choose the start and end locations, and take the session at a time and date to suit you. Sessions are two hours long, available seven days a week between 06:00-19:00, and are run by qualified instructors.
